- Steve Allan birdied the 18th hole to grab the 36-hole lead at the DICK’S Open with a second-round 69 and stands at 12-under 132 total. Allan will take a one-shot lead over Boo Weekley into Sunday’s final round of play.
- Weather delay: Play was suspended at 3:23 p.m. local time due to dangerous weather in the area. Play resumed at 4:28 p.m. for a total delay of one hour, five minutes.

- Allan is looking to secure his second win of the season after claiming his maiden PGA TOUR Champions title at The Galleri Classic Presented by Spotlight 29 Casino, which snapped a winless streak of 8,162 days (22 years, four months, six days) dating back to the 2002 Holden Australian Open. He would become the third player with multiple 2025 victories with a win this week.
- Also the first-round leader, he is looking to become the first wire-to-wire winner in tournament history.
- He is making his second career start at the DICK’S Open after a T6 effort in 2024. He entered the final round last year T4, one shot off the lead, before closing with a 2-under 70.
- Allan earns the second 36-hole lead/co-lead of his Champions Tour career (2025 Galleri Classic, won); the last player to hold at least a share of the first-round lead at the DICK’S Open and go on to win was Doug Barron (65/T1) in 2019.
- Seven second-round leaders/co-leaders have gone on to win this event: R.W. Eaks (2007), Eduardo Romero (2008), Bart Bryant (2013) Paul Goydos (2016), Scott McCarron (2017), Doug Barron (2019) and Padraig Harrington (2024).
Boo Weekley (11-under)
- Weekley is looking for his first PGA TOUR Champions win in his tournament debut, posts 8-under 64, marking the lowest score (to par) of his Champions Tour career, bettering a 7-under 63 at the 2024 Rogers Charity Classic.
- He owns two top 10s in 43 appearances on PGA TOUR Champions, including a career-best T7 at the PURE Insurance Championship Impacting First Tee in 2024.
- He won three times during his PGA TOUR career: 2007 RBC Heritage, 2008 RBC Heritage, 2013 Charles Schwab Challenge; came from behind in the final round to win the 2007 RBC Heritage and 2013 Charles Schwab Challenge.

- Jason Caron (-10/third) overcame bogeys on 13 and 15 with birdies on 16-17 to post a second-round 68; making his tournament debut and looking for his first PGA TOUR Champions title; He owns six top-10 finishes in 2025, including a career-best runner-up at the Cologuard Classic, where he lost to Steven Alker in a playoff.
- Greg Chalmers (T4) reached 9-under 135 with a second-round 66. In search of his first PGA TOUR Champions title, he posted a career-best-tying T3 at the Cologuard Classic earlier this year, one of two top 10s on the season. His last victory marked the only win of his PGA TOUR career at the 2016 Barracuda Championship.
- Kevin Sutherland (T4), who recorded a tournament-record 59 in the second round of the 2014 DICK’S Open, posted a 6-under 66 to reach 9-under. The 2017 Charles Schwab Cup champion owns five career victories on the Champions Tour, as well as four top 10s in 10 prior appearances at the DICK’S Open.
- Charles Schwab Cup leader Miguel Ángel Jiménez, who has won four times this year, posted a second consecutive 69 to reach 6-under 138, T20; owns five top-10 finishes at the DICK’S Open in his last five starts, including a T3 in 2021. In 14 starts in 2025, he has just one finish outside the top 25 (T33, Cologuard Classic).
- Rochester, New York, native Jeff Sluman (-8/T7), making his second start of the 2025 season, birdied five of his first seven holes to reach 9-under for the tournament before posting his second consecutive 68. He won the 2001 B.C. Open at En-Joie G.C., one of six victories in his PGA TOUR career. His last win came at the 2014 Bass Pro Legends of Golf with partner Fred Funk.
- Seven past DICK’S Open champions are in the field: Cameron Beckman/2021 (145/T55), Doug Barron/2019 (138/T20), Paul Goydos/2016 (135/T4), Jeff Maggert/2015 (136/T7), Bernhard Langer/2014 (140/T31), Willie Wood/2012 (137/T13) and John Huston/2011 (147/T65).
