PGA TOUR Champions returns to the Lone Star State for the Insperity Invitational. The Woodlands Country Club, located just north of Houston, Texas, will host the tournament for the 17th time. Insperity has served as the title sponsor for the event since its inception in 2004.
The field features six World Golf Hall of Fame members: Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Padraig Harrington, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie and Vijay Singh. Scott Dunlap returns to defend his 2024 title, which was shortened to 36 holes due to bad weather.
Fred Funk, the 2012 Insperity Invitational champion, is set to make his 1,000th career start (PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions combined). He will hit that mark at The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course, also the site of his first of eight PGA TOUR victories.
In addition to the Champions Tour competition, the tournament will again host the Folds of Honor Greats of Golf event on Saturday, May 3. The annual golf exhibition features legends of the game, including Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Tom Watson, Annika Sörenstam and 15 other players competing in a nine-hole scramble.
