Due to inclement weather, play was suspended at 12:04 pm CT. Round 1 will resume Saturday at 7:45 a.m. CT in position. Groupings remain the same for rounds one and two. Round 2 tee times will be approximately 9-11 a.m. CT.

Brett Quigley

Billy Andrade

• Seeking his first win in his 11th appearance at the Insperity Invitational, sits bogey-free with three holes to play.

Ken Tanigawa

• Making his sixth appearance in the event, has three holes remaining (Nos. 7-9).

Thongchai Jaidee

Mike Weir

• The 2021 Insperity Invitational champion began his round with an eagle on No. 1 and posted back-to-back birdies on Nos. 6 and 7.

• Making his fourth start in the event, he began his round on the back nine where he birdied five of seven, Nos. 13, 14, 15, 17 and 1 and shares the lead with six holes to play in the first round.

• Making his debut in the Insperity Invitational, opened his first round with birdies on Nos. 11,13,16 and an eagle on No. 15 before bogeying No. 18 to make the turn as play was suspended.

Friday, ahead of the 22nd playing of the Insperity Invitational, officials from Insperity and PGA TOUR Champions announced the annual Tradition of Excellence will continue in The Woodlands, extending Insperity’s title sponsorship for the Houston-area PGA TOUR Champions stop, through 2030. Over the last two decades, the Insperity Invitational has annually attracted golf’s greatest players to compete on the course while making a positive impact in the community off the course. This year’s tournament will see players competing for the largest amount of prize money ($3 million) in a non-major event on PGA TOUR Champions.
