Stands 6 feet, 8 inches tall, which is a common stature in the Lamprecht family. Christo’s grandfather also stood 6 feet, 8 inches, while his great grandfather was 7 feet tall. Lamprecht’s father, Christo Lamprecht Sr., is the shortest male family member of the last four generations at 6 feet, 4 inches.

Grew up playing primarily at Kingswood Golf Estate in his hometown of George, South Africa. Kingswood is a links course inspired by The Old Course at St. Andrews, and it claims to have the best greens in the area.

Lamprecht’s hometown of George is also home to Fancourt, which features three of the top courses in all of South Africa and was a frequent practice ground for him.

Upon entering high school, joined the Louis 57 Junior Golf Academy, which was founded by 2010 Open Championship winner Louis Oosthuizen. This gave Lamprecht access to Pinnacle Point Golf Club in Mossel Bay (just under 40 miles southwest of his hometown of George).
