2024 Diners Club Peru Open (PGA TOUR Americas) winner Stuart McDonald leads after Round 2 of the Panama Championship.

- Made four birdies against one bogey en route to a 3-under 67 in the second round
- Opened with a 5-under 65, his lowest score in 16 career rounds at The Panama Championship (previous:68/Round 2, 2025)
- In line to hold the second 36-hole lead/co-lead of his Korn Ferry Tour career (2025 Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia’s Richmond Region/finished T6)
- Finished No. 43 on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, earning full status for the 2026 season
- Runner-up finisher at the 2025 Tulum Championship at PGA Riviera Maya, where he forced a playoff with a hole-out birdie from the fairway of the 72nd hole of regulation (lost to Bryson Nimmer in playoff)
- Regained Korn Ferry Tour membership with a No. 10 finish on the 2024 PGA TOUR Americas Eligibility Points List
- In three previous seasons on the Korn Ferry Tour prior to 2025, recorded Korn Ferry Tour Points List finishes of No. 181 (2018), No. 60 (2020-21) and No. 118 (2022)
- Will log his fourth made cut in what is his fifth career start at The Panama Championship (best finish: T42/2020)
- Boasts two PGA TOUR-sanctioned wins: 2023 Commissionaires Ottawa Open (PGA TOUR Canada), 2024 Diners Club Peru Open (PGA TOUR Americas)

- Ian Gilligan (third/-6), who finished No. 4 in the PGA TOUR University Class of 2025, is poised to hold his best 36-hole position on the Korn Ferry Tour through 17 holes of his second round (previous: T18/2025 Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron/finished T40).
- PGA TOUR winners Tyler Duncan (fourth/-5) and Adam Hadwin (T8/-3), who is making his first start of the 2026 season, currently stand inside the top 10.
