Personal

Did not play high school golf, instead competing on both the national and international levels while earning his academic diploma.

Picked range balls at The Dye Preserve as a 13-15 year old in exchange for playing privileges. Also competed against former PGA TOUR member Steve Marino at The Dye Preserve.

Teammates in his two seasons at Florida State included Brooks Koepka (2011-12 season), and Korn Ferry Tour winners Hank Lebioda (2012-13 season) and Cristobal Del Solar (2012-13 season).

If not a professional golfer, he would be a professional tennis player.

Father, Jay, was the No. 7 tennis player in the world in 1990, in addition to being the former director of men's tennis for the USTA, serving as an assistant coach for the U.S. Davis Cup and Olympic tennis teams, and serving as head coach of the 2012 U.S. Olympic tennis team.

During off weeks, he enjoys spending time on his boat.

Favorite quote is "Winning means you're willing to go longer, work harder and give more than anyone else."
