Amateur Highlights
Played five seasons at Pepperdine University (2016-21), where he was a three-time All-West Coast Conference First Team selection and helped the Wave win the 2021 NCAA Championships.
In his final match as a collegian, at the 2021 NCAA Championships, won his match against Oklahoma’s Ben Lorenz, two-putting from 35 feet on the 18th hole at Grayhawk GC. The match victory clinched the national title for Pepperdine a year after the Wave the No. 1-ranked team in the country in 2020, weren’t able to compete for a title because of the pandemic.
His four wins at Pepperdine tied a school record jointly held by Sahith Theegala, Kevin Marsh, and Jim Johnson.
Two-time medalist at the West Coast Conference Championship (2018, 2021), two of his four career college titles to go with his win at the 2018 weather-shortened Prestige at PGA West (defeated Norman Xiong by a stroke) and the 2018 Royal Oaks Intercollegiate (shared with Viktor Hovland and Matthew Wolff).
At the 2017 Royal Oaks Intercollegiate, made holes-in-one in consecutive tournament rounds. First came in the second round, on the 192-yard fourth hole at Royal Oaks CC, his 4-iron dropping in the hole. The following day, in the final round of the 54-hole tournament, hit a 7-iron from 179 yards on No. 8. Same result. A unique part of his accomplishment came with all his teammates watching as the team plays each hole at once against their opponents.
