Personal

Enjoys playing the guitar, a talent he's cultivated since elementary school.

As a Bay Area native, is a big fan of the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco 49ers.

Avid gamer, mostly playing Call of Duty: Warzone online with friends.

Earliest golf memory was his first hole-in-one at age 9; he remembered having one of his worst rounds and nearly being in tears through six holes, but at the par-3 seventh, he skulled a tee shot with an 8-iron from 90 yards out and the ball took a few bounces, hit the pin and dropped in.

Attended the 2008 Farmers Insurance Open (then known as the Buick Invitational) at Torrey Pines for his 11th birthday and followed Tiger Woods; he watched Tiger save par at the par-3 third hole on the South Course in the first round and said, "Great save, Tiger." He will never forget how Tiger looked back at him and said, "Thanks, buddy."

Amateur Highlights

Played four seasons at Auburn University (2015-19), earning a 2019 All-Southeastern Conference Second Team selection and a 2016 SEC All-Freshman laurel.

Played four U.S. Amateur Championships (2015, 2017, 2018, 2019), with his best performance coming in 2019 at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club, where he finished T2 in stroke play and defeated Cameron Young in the Round of 64 before he bowed out in the Round of 32.

Won the 2015 California Interscholastic Federation State High School Championship at Poppy Hills, holding off co-runner-up Justin Suh by one stroke and finishing three strokes ahead of a group at T4 which included Norman Xiong.
