Overcame a torn hip labrum, for which he had surgery, and a serious fracture in his L3 vertebrae, which kept him from playing golf for nearly an entire season in college.

Earliest golf memory is playing on Concord Park par-3 course in Knoxville with his dad.

Best golf memory as a fan was going to the 2011 PGA Championship final round at Atlanta Athletic Club with his dad. Says that tournament inspired him to want to play professional golf. Also went to the 2016 Ryder Cup, which, he says, is the best sporting event he's ever attended.

Has raised money for the First Tee of Knoxville since his junior golf days in East Tennessee, which was so important to his early life. Is also passionate about St. Jude Children's Hospital since it is a Tennessee-based organization and his wife has volunteered there on multiple occasions.

Is an accomplished musician and has thought about pursuing music as a career. Guitar is his favorite and best instrument to play. Played saxophone in high school and took piano lessons for seven years.

Would like to collect vintage guitars.

Amateur Highlights

Was a two-time Tennessee State Scholastic Athletic Association state champion.

Was a three-time Rolex Junior first-team All-American and a member of the winning U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team that defeated Europe in Edina, Minnesota.
