Mother was a club champion in 1993, and three of his uncles played college golf.

Brother, Andrew, was an All-Conference in golf, and he has three holes-in-one.

Has three holes-in-one and two double eagles, all in competition.

Made 12 birdies in one round, including seven in a row, for the lowest round in Clemson team history.

Says he can eat nine Chick-fil-a sandwiches at a time, once accomplishing the feat in 28 minutes.

Is a supporter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Amateur Highlights

Was a three-time high school all-state selection and a four-time all-region and all-district choice playing for Dobyns-Bennett High.

Was a two-time state junior champion in Tennessee, the last coming in 2016

Won the 2016 Tennessee State Match Play Championship, defeating Lake Johnson, 3 and 1.

Won the 2017 North-South Amateur at Pinehurst Resort’s No. 2 Course. Became only the second Clemson golfer (Philip Mollica in 2007) to win the prestigious tournament. Defeated Ricky Castillo, Matt Wetterick, Chris Petefish, Alex Smalley and James Anstiss on his way to the title. Defeated Anstiss, 1-up, in the championship match.

During his freshman season, established the Clemson 18-hole scoring record, at the 2017 Wolfpack Spring Open. Fired a second-round 62 that included a school record 12 birdies, seven of them coming in succession, beginning on No. 5.
