Personal

Plays left-handed because he mirrored his father when he learned how to swing a golf club.

One of seven children in his family. He has three brothers–Jennings, Slade and Hayes–and three sisters–Victoria, Olivia and Gabriella.

Sister, Victoria, played golf for five seasons at College of Charleston (2016-21), turned professional in summer 2021, and played her rookie season on the Epson Tour in 2023. She posted a 78.19 scoring average as a freshman and went on to become the 2019 Colonial Athletic Association Golfer of the Year and a three-time All-CAA selection. Her husband, Jordan Carr, played baseball at Charleston and plays professionally in the minor leagues.

Brother, Slade, serves in the United States Marine Corps.

Would love to start a charity that involves getting kids involved in golf. He says he believes it is important to give back to the same community that helped him get to where he is.

Favorite place to visit is Hawaii.

Plays saxophone, guitar, and drums. Also sings in his church choir, and is in a band called Hand in Glove.

Loves basketball (and still plays competitively in a rec league) and duck hunting.

Amateur Highlights

Was named second-team All-Southeastern Conference in 2017, finishing his collegiate career with the second-best career scoring average in team history (71.66).

Made it to final eight of match play at the 2016 NCAA Championship.

Won the 2018 All American by two strokes over Braden Thornberry in Humble, Texas.

Two-time high school 3A individual state champion.
