Father, Tim, played college football at Concord University.

Made his Korn Ferry Tour debut in 2018, at his hometown Rex Hospital Open. He missed the cut.

At Orlando’s Panther Lake GC and Crooked Cat GC, finished regulation tied with two others at the 54-hole Orlando International Amateur Championship in December 2021 then defeated Wyatt Plattner and Noah Kumar in a playoff.

As a junior, won his second college tournament, the 2019 White Sands Intercollegiate, using an opening-round 60 at Paradise Island in the Bahamas to open a six-shot, 18-hole lead. Finished the tournament 73-66 to defeat Jordan Less by three strokes. Win earned him an invite to the PGA TOUR’s 2020 Puerto Rico Open, where he missed the cut (75-73).

Shared the top spot with England’s Tom Thurloway at the 2019 Seminole Intercollegiate in Tallahassee, Florida. Began the final round four shots behind Austin Squires but used a closing 69 to tie with Thurloway.

Was a two-time North Carolina 2A individual state champion in high school, also leading St. David’s School to the 2016 and 2017 team titles.
