Loves coffee, taste testing tacos, and surfing; he wants to own his own coffee or taco shop one day.
In the mid-2020s, got into pour-over coffee and eventually began traveling with his coffee-brewing essentials. Typically brings his own coffee beans when traveling, but will often venture out into the city he's playing in and purchase beans from local coffee shops to bring home.

Grew up in Gainesville, Florida, where he attended Buchholz High School. Other notable Buchholz alums include two-time NBA champion Vernon Maxwell, two-time MLB All-Star pitcher Andrew Miller, and professional tennis player Ben Shelton.
Connected with four-time PGA TOUR winner Joe Durant, who is a native of Pensacola, Florida, home to the University of West Florida, in summer 2015, prior to the start of his sophomore season. Durant is a close friend of longtime West Florida men's golf head coach Steve Fell, who connected he and Blanchet. Durant's main advice for Blanchet was distance control with wedges. Blanchet practiced with his wedges at an intramural sports field, setting up cones for target practice. Blanchet laughed as he recalled being kicked off the field multiple times.
Wife, Michaela, was a gymnast at N.C. State University. Michaela also qualified as an individual for the all-around at the 2015 NCAA Championship.

Older brother (by eight years), Christian, played professional golf (though is not credited with an OWGR-sanctioned start) after he played collegiately at Brevard Community College (2006-08) and three seasons at University of South Alabama (2008-11). Transitioned to a career in the fashion industry and earned an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business after concluding his golf career.
