Earliest golf memory was hitting golf balls in the basement and getting in trouble for putting dents in the wall.
Played hockey for eight years growing up.
After golf, would like to start his own business one day.
Frequently attended the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio as a kid and tried to get as many signatures as possible on his hat.
Grew up playing Fox Den Golf Course in Stow, Ohio; he also worked on the maintenance crew throughout high school and college.
As a teenager and during his college years, worked at a bean bag company.
Favorite athletes include NFL linebacker T.J. Watt and NHL superstar Sidney Crosby.

Amateur Highlights
Played four seasons at Kent State University (2014-18), earning a 2018 All-America Second Team laurel and back-to-back Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Year awards in 2017 and 2018.
Three collegiate victories at Kent State University included medalist honors at the 2018 MAC Championships.
In statistical records dating back to the early 1990s, finished second in program history in career scoring average (72.5), only trailing 2003 Open Championship winner Ben Curtis (72.27 from 1996-2000); he notably finished ahead of PGA TOUR members Corey Conners (72.94 from 2010-14), Taylor Pendrith (73.02 from 2010-14), and Mackenzie Hughes (73.67 from 2008-12).
Won the individual state title at the 2011 OHSAA Division I State Championships.
