Amateur Highlights

Finished No. 3 in the 2023 PGA TOUR University Ranking, earning Korn Ferry Tour membership for the remainder of 2023, along with an exemption to Final Stage of 2023 PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry.

Played five seasons at University of Illinois (2018-23), earning three consecutive Big Ten Conference Player of the Year awards (2021-23), an All-America First Team selection in 2023 after consecutive All-America Second Team honors in 2021 and 2022, along with four collegiate victories, with the crown jewel being co-medalist honors at the 2019 Big Ten Championship.

Became the third player in conference history and first player in school history to earn three consecutive Big Ten Player of the Year awards (2021, 2022, 2023), joining Luke Donald of Northwestern (1999, 2000, 2001) and Randy Leen of Indiana (1996, 1997, 1998); the only previous multi-time winner of the award in Illinois history was Steve Stricker (1988, 1989).

Earned back-to-back Les Bolstad Awards, presented annually to the Big Ten’s scoring average leader, in 2022 and 2023; he became the eighth player in conference history and second player in program history to win it twice, joining a group which includes Northwestern’s Luke Donald (1999, 2000, 2001), Indiana’s Jeff Overton (2004, 2005), and Illinois’ Charlie Danielson (2014, 2016).

The only players to win the Les Bolstad Award with a sub-70 scoring average were Dumont De Chassart (69.63), Rutgers’ Chris Gotterup (69.89 in 2019-20), and Indiana’s Jeff Overton (69.87 in 2004-05).

Broke the school record for career scoring average (70.82) and posted the two lowest single-season scoring averages in program history (69.56 in 2022-23, 70.08 in 2021-22).

Helped Illinois extend its run of consecutive team titles at the Big Ten Championship to eight, contributing to victories in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Defeated Oklahoma’s Patrick Welch 8 and 6 in the quarterfinals of the 2021 NCAA Championship, though Illinois did not advance as a team.

Qualified for match play at the 2022 U.S. Amateur Championship and 2022 Western Amateur Championship, but was eliminated in the opening round of each event.

Qualified for the 2022 U.S. Open Championship at The Country Club, where he missed the cut in his major championship debut.

Represented Belgium at numerous international amateur events, most notably three times at the Eisenhower Trophy (2016, 2018, 2022), four times at the European Amateur Team Championship (2017, 2019, 2021, 2022), and four times at the European Boys’ Team Championship (2015-18).

Decorated junior career included a wins at the 2017 French Boys (U18) Championship and 2017 Belgian International Amateur Championship.
