Played four seasons at University of Southern California (2015-19), closing his career with back-to-back All-America First Team selections, three consecutive All-Pac-12 Conference First Team honors, and the 2017-18 Pac-12 Player of the Year award.
Also garnered a 2017 All-America Third Team selection as a sophomore.
Amassed eight collegiate victories, including five as a junior in 2017-18, breaking the single-season wins record (four wins) previously established by Jamie Lovemark (2006-07), Sam Randolph (1983-84), and Scott Simpson (1974-75 and 1976-77).
Led USC to its first team title since 2011 and earned individual medalist honors at the 2018 Pac-12 Championship, becoming the seventh conference champion in school history -- Matt Giles (2009), Jamie Lovemark (2007), Kevin Stadler (2002), Sam Randolph (1984, 1986), Ron Commans (1981), Scott Simpson (1976, 1977).
Finished T4 at the 2019 NCAA Championships, notably ahead of California's Collin Morikawa (T6), Oklahoma State's Austin Eckroat (T8) and Viktor Hovland (T15).
Posted the two lowest single-season scoring averages in school history (records dating back to 1993) as a junior and senior, posting a 68.73 average in 2017-18, followed by a 69.39 average in 2018-19, both below the previous school record of 70.10 established by Jamie Lovemark in 2006-07.
Represented the U.S. at the 2018 Palmer Cup. Went 3-1-0 in his four matches at Evian GC in Évian-les-Bains, France. Defeated K.K. Limbhasut in his singles match.
Won the 2014 CIF State High School Championship at San Gabriel Country Club as a junior at Evergreen Valley High School; he notably finished ahead of Matthew Wolff (T6), Sahith Theegala (T13), and K.K. Limbhasut (T13), in addition to following recent champions Austin Smotherman (2012), Xander Schauffele (2011), Patrick Cantlay (2010), Kevin Dougherty (2009), and Rickie Fowler (2006).
