Amateur Highlights

Played five seasons at Oklahoma State University (2009-14 -- redshirted in 2009-10), going from just eight total starts as a redshirt freshman and sophomore (four each season) to a 2013 All-America Scholar and consistent player in the Cowboys' lineup his final two seasons.

Won the 2013 Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in the fall of his redshirt senior season with the Cowboys.

Won the 2012 Southwestern Amateur at The Ritz-Carlton's Golf Club at Dove Mountain; the previous winners of the event include Nick Watney (2002), Ryan Palmer (1999), Ted Purdy (1993), Corey Pavin (1981), Mark O'Meara (1980), Jay Haas (1976), and Craig Stadler (1975).

Qualified for match play at the 2011 U.S. Amateur Championship at Erin Hills; he fell to Russell Henley in the Round of 64.

As a senior at Vista Murrieta (California) High School, won the 2009 CIF Southern California Regional Championship, followed by the 2009 CIF State High School Championship at Poppy Hills -- which was previously won by Rickie Fowler (2006) and later won by Patrick Cantlay (2010), Xander Schauffele (2011), Austin Smotherman (2012), and Justin Suh (2014).
