Amateur Highlights
Spent two seasons at University of Colorado (2008-10 -- redshirted 2008-09 season) before he transferred to University of Central Oklahoma, an NCAA Division II program in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he played two seasons (2010-12) and won the individual national title at the 2012 NCAA Division II Championships.
Defeated Colorado School of Mines' Jim Knous with a par on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to win the individual national title at the 2012 NCAA Division II Championships; he also birdied Nos. 16 and 17 to force the playoff.
Notably defeated Nova Southeastern University's Ben Taylor by two strokes in head-to-head stroke play competition in the semifinals of the 2012 NCAA Division II Championships.
Garnered 2012 All-America First Team recognition and 2011 All-America Second Team laurel, as well as a 2011 All-Lone Star Conference First Team honor.
Notched four victories in his two seasons at Central Oklahoma.
Led Cheyenne (Wyoming) Central High School to four consecutive WHSAA Class 4A Championship victories (2004-07), with his highest individual finish being solo second as a senior in 2007.
