Growing up in Argentina, used to take a one-hour bus ride from Rosario to Perez to go to practice every weekday.
Started playing golf with a charcoal stick and ping pong ball, which he would hole into a drain.
Favorite athletes include Argentinian soccer legends Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona, and his favorite team is Newell's Old Boys, a soccer club in his hometown of Rosario which competes in the Argentine Primera Division.
Amateur Highlights
Played four seasons at University of Florida (2014-18), winning four times individually, with the crown jewel being medalist honors at the 2017 Southeastern Conference Championship; he also garnered All-America First Team and All-SEC First Team selections in 2017.
At the time of his victory at the 2017 SEC Championships, notable Gators who won the individual conference title included Billy Horschel (2009), Brett Stegmaier (2003 and 2006), Brian Gay (1992 and 1994), Chris DiMarco (1989), Gary Koch (1973 and 1974), Steve Melnyk (1968), and Tommy Aaron (1957 and 1958).
At the 2017 Southeastern Conference Championship at Sea Island, Georgia, finished regulation tied during the individual portion of the tournament, with Vanderbilt’s Patrick Martin, the duo deadlocked at 16-under. Defeated Martin on the second sudden-death hole to take home medalist honors.
In program records dating back to 1981-82, ranked third in school history in career scoring average (71,48), just ahead of Billy Horschel (71.73) and only behind John Axelsen (71.28) and Camilo Villegas (71.21).
Represented Argentina at the 2014 Eisenhower Trophy, finishing T2 individually with Australia's Lucas Herbert and France's Victor Perez, with the three finishing three strokes behind individual medalist Jon Rahm. Argentina finished fifth in the team competition.
Finished second to Chile's Matias Dominguez in the inaugural Latin America Amateur Championship in 2015.
