Personal

Moved to the United States as an exchange student in summer 2006. At the time, he was 17 years old and barely spoke English. Attended Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee -- which his family learned about via an exchange agency in Germany -- for his junior and senior years. Teammates on the golf team included Keith Mitchell (Class of 2010) and Harris English (Class of 2007).

Inducted into the Baylor School Sports Hall of Fame in 2018.

Grew up playing soccer and tennis.

Loves cars and racing. Would be a rally car driver if he were not a golfer.

His family remains in Germany and he still speaks German fluently.

Amateur Highlights

Played four seasons at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2008-12) and earned the first All-America First Team honor in school history; he set school records for career wins (four) and scoring average (72.10).

Three-time Southern Conference Player of the Year (2010-12).

As a senior at UT-Chattanooga, Jaeger won the 2012 Southern Conference Championship by 11 strokes, tying the tournament record for largest margin of victory previously set in 1983 by Furman's Brad Faxon, an eight-time PGA TOUR winner.

Helped Baylor School win consecutive TSSAA Division II state titles in 2006 and 2007. Teammates on the 2006 team included future PGA TOUR winners Harris English and Keith Mitchell. Jaeger and Mitchell were also teammates in 2007.
