Born in Puebla, Mexico (roughly three hours southeast of Mexico City), where he spent the first 12 years of his life, after which the family moved to Rygge, Norway.

Father, Carlos, hails from Mexico. Mother, Charlotte, was born and raised in Norway.

Speaks Spanish and Norwegian and is learning Italian and German.

In November 2018, had to have an emergency appendectomy just before final stage of Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying Tournament. Competed in the event, despite not being able to swing 100 percent. Finished near the bottom and entered the 2019 Korn Ferry Tour season with minimal status.
