Most emotional #TOURBound moments at Korn Ferry Tour Championship

    Written by Staff

The 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season concludes with the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing and Finance, the 26th and final event of the season.

This week's field is comprised of the top 75 players on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List — all of whom earned fully exempt status for the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season. There is no alternate list should any players withdraw, and the only eligible players not in the field are No. 14 Trace Crowe and No. 73 Taylor Montgomery.

Upon conclusion of this week's Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing and Finance, the top 20 players on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List will earn PGA TOUR membership for the 2026 season. Additionally, the No. 1 player will earn exemptions for the 2026 PLAYERS Championship and 2026 U.S. Open.

Players who finish Nos. 21-50 on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List will earn an exemption for the Final Stage of 2025 PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry (Dec. 11-14), where PGA TOUR membership will be awarded to the top five finishers.

The winner of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing and Finance will earn 600 points, meaning all players ranked No. 66 and higher on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List can potentially finish in the top 20 and earn PGA TOUR membership with a victory.

This year marks the 32nd playing of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing and Finance, with French Lick Golf Resort hosting for a second consecutive year.

How to follow (all times ET):

    • Thursday-Sunday: 3-6 p.m. (Golf Channel)
    • Special programming alert:
      • Sunday, Oct. 12: Upon conclusion of the final round, the annual PGA TOUR Card Ceremony will air live on Golf Channel during Golf Central. A standalone broadcast of the PGA TOUR Card Ceremony will also be streamed live on YouTube.

    Key storylines

    • Rookies Johnny Keefer and Neal Shipley, along with Austin Smotherman, are the only multi-time winners this season. Should any of them win the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing and Finance, they would become eligible for the remaining 2025 FedExCup Fall events via the Three-Victory Promotion.
    • Of the 11 players declared #TOURBound and mathematically assured of finishing in the top 20 of the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, seven will be earning PGA TOUR cards for the first time: No. 1 Johnny Keefer, No. 3 Neal Shipley, No. 4 Emilio Gonzalez, No. 7 Chandler Blanchet, No. 9 Zach Bauchou, No. 10 Davis Chatfield, and No. 11 Christo Lamprecht.
    • Gonzalez is also the highest-ranked player among the nine international players currently ranked in the top 20 of the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List — No. 6 Adrien Dumont de Chassart (Belgium), No. 8 S.H. Kim (South Korea), No. 11 Christo Lamprecht (South Africa), No. 13 S.T. Lee (South Korea), No. 15 Kensei Hirata (Japan), No. 18 Pontus Nyholm (Sweden), No. 19 Zecheng Dou (China), No. 20 Sudarshan Yellamaraju (Canada).
    • No. 10 Davis Chatfield leads the six players inside the top 20 of the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List who do not have a victory this season — No. 12 Pierceson Coody, No. 13 S.T. Lee, No. 15 Kensei Hirata, No. 16 Jeffrey Kang and No. 19 Zecheng Dou.
    • Field includes three PGA TOUR winners — Russell Knox (2015 World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions, 2016 Travelers Championship), Tyler Duncan (2019 RSM Classic) and S.Y. Noh (2014 Zurich Classic of New Orleans).
    • The field features 34 Korn Ferry Tour winners who have combined for 51 career victories, led by four-time Korn Ferry Tour winner Robby Shelton (two wins in 2019 and 2022).
    • There are 14 players in the field ranked in the top 200 of this week's Official World Golf Ranking: Johnny Keefer (No. 51), Neal Shipley (No. 90), Pierceson Coody (No. 106), Austin Smotherman (No. 121), Kensei Hirata (No. 138), Christo Lamprecht (No. 142), Emilio Gonzalez (No. 144), Adrien Dumont de Chassart (No. 147), S.H. Kim (No. 159), Chandler Blanchet (No. 164), Hank Lebioda (No. 186), Zach Bauchou (No. 192), Davis Chatfield (No. 194), and Jeffrey Kang (No. 199).
    • Justin Suh, who won the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing and Finance en route to being named the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour Player of the Year, is the only past champion of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship in this week's field. Suh enters this week at No. 24 on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List off the strength of his victory at the 118th VISA Argentina Open presented by Macro.
    • Blades Brown, an 18-year-old professional who stands No. 75 on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, is the only player in the field who began the season without Korn Ferry Tour membership. Brown earned Special Temporary Membership on the strength of top-10 finishes at the Veritex Bank Championship (T2) and Utah Championship presented by Zions Bank and Intermountain Health (T7). Last week, Brown entered the Compliance Solutions Championship at No. 72 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List and finished T43, securing the final spot in the top 75.
    • Four players in the field have ties to the state of Indiana: Tyler Duncan (Columbus native, Purdue University alum), Rick Lamb (South Bend native), Stuart Macdonald (Purdue University alum), and Joe Weiler (Bloomington native, Purdue University alum).
