- 24-year-old rookie Kensei Hirata (T5/-5) made four birdies on the day (Nos. 3, 4, 10, 18) but surrendered three bogeys, including back-to-back bogeys on his final two holes (Nos. 8 – 9) to finish with a 1-under 71.
- Marcelo Rozo (T5/-5), who entered the week No. 31 on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, stands inside the top five through 36 holes for the first time since the 2024 Utah Championship (finished T27).
- PGA TOUR Americas winner Stuart Macdonald (T5/-5), who finished No. 11 in the 2025 Fortinet Cup Standings on PGA TOUR Americas, made eagle on the par-5 fourth en route to a 5-under 65 and holds his best 36-hole position of the season (previous: T14/LECOM Suncoast Classic/T65).
- Augusto Núñez (T8/-4), who stands No. 38 on the 2025 Points List, cards one of two bogey-free rounds on the week at PGA Riviera Maya with a 1-under 71.
- Alvaro Ortiz (T19/-1), a Guadalajara, Mexico native, bounced back from a first-round 5-over 77 with a bogey-free 6-under 66, matching the low round of the week, to move inside the 36-hole cut line and advance to the weekend.
- The 36-hole cut was made at 3-over 147 – the highest 36-hole cut on Tour this season and highest since the 2024 Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at the Abaco Club (3-over 147) – with 74 players advancing to the weekend.
- Round three tee times will run from 6:50 – 11:50 a.m. local time in groupings.
