    • Seeking his second career PGA TOUR Champions victory and first in 10 years, Scott Dunlap holds a 1-shot lead after he and the rest of the field trekked their way across 36 holes Saturday.
    • Defending champion Steven Alker sits T4 at 7-under 137 after opening rounds of 68-69 in his bid to become the first player to win the same PGA TOUR Champions event three consecutive seasons since Bernhard Langer at the Kaulig Companies Championship (2014-2016).
    • In his first start since tearing his Achilles on Feb. 1, World Golf Hall of Fame member and four-time Insperity Invitational winner Bernhard Langer sits T31 at 1-under 143 after opening rounds of 69-74.

    • Needing just 23 putts to complete his first round, the 65 marks his lowest score on PGA TOUR Champions since posting an 8-under 62 in the second round of the 2023 Shaw Charity Classic last August.
    • With a win Sunday, would claim his second career PGA TOUR Champions title in 10 years after winning his first at the 2014 Boeing Classic.
    • A win Sunday would come at the age of 60 years, 8 months, 20 days in his 207th start.

    • Insperity Invitational starts, finished T14 in 2022 and T30 last year; lone top-10 finish in seven starts this season, a T7, came at two weeks ago at the Invited Celebrity Classic, which was reduced to 36 holes (inclement weather).
    • Having not cracked the top-30 in his last three starts since winning the Cologuard Classic, Joe Durant opened with back-to-back 4-under 68s and sits T2 at 8-under 136; lone top-10 finish in eight previous starts in the Insperity Invitational was T4 in his first start of 2015.
    • After opening with a bogey-free 6-under 66, Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee signed for a 1-under 71 to reach T4 at 7-under 137; in his only previous Insperity Invitational start, finished T48 in 2023 after closing with 4-over 76s in Rounds 2 and 3.
