After graduating from high school, elected to attend Clemson University as a student. Explored options about trying to walk on to the Clemson team but wasn’t allowed. Eventually transferred to the University of San Diego, where he played college golf for three seasons.

Favorite memory as a golf fan is watching Tiger Woods play in the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines GC in 2008.
