Competitive field heads to Abaco
Three players in this week’s field are in the top 200 in the Official World Golf Rankings: Kensei Hirata (No. 112), S.H. Kim (No. 186) and Pierceson Coody (No. 200). Hirata, a six-time winner on the Japan Golf Tour, makes his Korn Ferry Tour debut this week, following a T21 finish at the Sony Open in Hawaii on the PGA TOUR. The Osaka, Japan, native earned guaranteed starts in the first 12 events of the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season via a T8 finish at Final Stage of PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry.
Kim comes off a runner-up finish at last week's The Bahamas Golf Classic at Atlantis Paradise Island, where he lost in a playoff to Hank Lebioda. Lebioda, a Florida State alum who played the PGA TOUR full-time from 2019 to 2023, heads to this week's event leading the Korn Ferry Tour Points List as he seeks a return to the PGA TOUR.
