In addition to his win, Stewart also finished T9 in his PGA TOUR Americas debut at the Explore NB Open. Stewart is currently the No. 9 player in the Fortinet Cup heading into the Commissionaires Ottawa Open presented by Lépine Apartments.
    • David Perkins (United States): After finishing the Latin America Swing as the No. 8 player in the Fortinet Cup, Perkins broke through and claimed his first PGA TOUR-sanctioned win at the Explore NB Open. Perkins currently sits at No. 2 in the Fortinet Cup.
    • Davis Lamb (United States): Lamb took over the No. 1 spot in the Fortinet Cup after a T4 finish at the Explore NB Open and a runner-up finish at the Bromont Open presented by Desjardins to open the North America Swing. Lamb will make his first start at the Commissionaires Ottawa Open since 2023, when he finished T12.
    • Justin Hastings (Cayman Islands): The winner of the 2025 Latin America Amateur Championship (LAAC) will make his PGA TOUR Americas debut in Ottawa after finishing as the No. 13 player in the 2025 PGA TOUR University Ranking. Hastings maintained his amateur status through The Open Championship at Royal Portrush, after earning an invitation to the Masters and exemptions into the U.S. Open and The Open Championship by virtue of his LAAC win.
    • Connor Creasy (United States): After Monday qualifying into the field in 2024, Creasy picked up his best career finish at the Commissionaires Ottawa Open presented by Lépine Apartments (T2) last season.
    • Jake Peacock (United States): In his first start as a professional after finishing as the No. 19 player in the PGA TOUR University Class of 2025, Peacock finished T9 in New Brunswick at theExplore NB Open. Peacock, who attended the University of South Florida, earned 2025 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors and won four times in his collegiate career.
    • Joey Savoie (Canada): A native of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Savoie finished as the No. 13 in the Fortinet Cup in 2024. Savoie went 98 straight holes without a bogey last season and started that streak in the third round of the 2024 Commissionaires Ottawa Open presented by Lépine Apartments.
    • Michael Brennan (United States): Brennan, a Fortinet ambassador, has not missed a cut this season and registered his sixth top-15 finish of the season at the Bromont Open presented by Desjardins (T14).

    Tournament history

    Eagle Creek Golf Club hosts the Commissionaires Ottawa Open presented by Lépine Apartments for the third consecutive year, after Stuart MacDonald won the inaugural event in 2023, and Barend Botha claimed his first career title in 2024. In addition to the two past champions, notable past participants in the event include Johnny Keefer, Matthew Anderson and Hayden Springer.
