Three Korn Ferry Tour pros and a musician qualified for the John Deere Classic via Monday's 18-hole open qualifier at Pinnacle Country Club in Milan, Illinois.

Patrick Adler paced the field with an 7-under 65, securing his first PGA TOUR start in dramatic fashion with three consecutive closing birdies. Adler played collegiate golf at Marquette, where he was named the 2024-25 BIG EAST Men's Golf Player of the Year as a senior, and he moonlights as a musician in The Adler Brothers band with his two older brothers Connor and Aiden and two friends.

The younger Adler took drum lessons as a kid and has maintained his musical bent while also his professional golf dreams. Each pursuit requires him to be comfortable as a live performer, and hence they mutually benefit each other. “You’re always uncomfortable on the golf course. When you’re put in big moments, you will be uncomfortable,” Adler told the Marquette Wire. “Grab a hold of that and use it to your advantage. (Marquette) coach (Steve Bailey) also talks about putting yourself in those types of situations. I never realized why he kept asking me to sing in front of many people to make me uncomfortable, but it’s relatable to golf.”

Luke Gutschewski, Michael Feagles and Augusto Núñez each shot 6-under 66 to also qualify for the John Deere Classic; no playoff was needed. Second-year pro Gutschewski, son of longtime TOUR pro Scott Gutschewski, currently stands No. 119 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List with seven made cuts in 11 starts. Feagles, who shot a 59 on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2023, is also a Korn Ferry Tour member this year and stands No. 110 on the Points List to date. Núñez, 33, has made 280 career TOUR-sanctioned starts and is also competing on the Korn Ferry Tour this season, where he currently stands No. 106 on the Points List. The Argentinian was a PGA TOUR member in 2023.
