Highlights | Round 3 | World Wide Technology | 2026
The PGA Tour's two-week stay in Mexico concludes this week at the World Wide Technology Championship in Los Cabos. It marks the sixth of eight FedExCup Fall tournaments, as players make their last efforts to either lock up status for next season or gain entry into 2027's first two Signature Events at Pebble Beach and Riviera. Stops in Austin, Texas (Nov. 12-15), and St. Simons Island, Georgia (Nov. 19-22), are all that remain on the Tour calendar after this week on the Baja Peninsula.
Rookie Ben James kept his foot on the gas Saturday at El Cardonal at Diamante, expanding his lead to four strokes at 21 under with a 6-under 66. He is seeking his first Tour title in his 13th start since turning professional in June. Ryan Gerard, the highest-ranked player in the field, surged four spots up the leaderboard to solo second at 17 under with a bogey-free round of 65. First-round leader Chris Kirk, who is in need of a solid finish this fall to secure full status, rebounded from a Friday 72 with a 65 that featured 10 birdies to tie for third.
Denny McCarthy shares third with Kirk at 16 under after a 5-under 67, as he is projected to make one of the bigger moves in the FedExCup standings this week (No. 83 to No. 70). Paul Peterson, Keith Mitchell, Kensei Hirata and Mexico native Alvaro Ortiz are all tied for fifth at 15 under.
Here's everything you need to know to follow along with the second of two weeks south of the U.S. border.
