PGA TOUR Americas is an international pathway tour spanning North and South America, providing players with a clear route to the Korn Ferry Tour and ultimately the PGA TOUR.
The top 10 players on the final PGA TOUR Americas Points List earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for the following season.
Since its inaugural season in 2024, PGA TOUR Americas has prepared players for success at the highest levels. Johnny Keefer (2024) and Michael Brennan (2025) have each finished No. 1 on the PGA TOUR Americas Points List and continued progressing on the path to the PGA TOUR.
Keefer earned his PGA TOUR card for the 2026 season after finishing No. 1 on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, while Brennan earned PGA TOUR membership by winning the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship during the FedExCup Fall.
Reflecting on his progression, Brennan highlighted the competitive standard of the tour and its role in preparing players for the next level.
“The experience that I gained playing on PGA TOUR Americas definitely showed. I felt relatively comfortable in the final group of a PGA TOUR event, where otherwise I certainly wouldn’t have,” Brennan said. “Johnny played amazing golf last year on the Korn Ferry Tour and has had some good success on the PGA TOUR as well. It just goes to show that the quality of golf on PGA TOUR Americas is pretty high, and that it does a good job of preparing golfers for the next step.”
Tournament schedule
The 2026 PGA TOUR Americas schedule will feature 15 events across nine countries: Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia, the United States, Canada and the Dominican Republic. From April to October, players will compete for the opportunity to advance to the Korn Ferry Tour and continue along path to the PGA TOUR.
The first 14 tournaments will be four-day, 72-hole stroke-play competitions, featuring a 36-hole cut after two rounds and contested on a traditional Thursday-Sunday schedule. The top 60 players on the Points List through the first 14 events will retain status for the 2027 PGA TOUR Americas season. Those players will also qualify for the season-ending PGA Oceans 4 Tour Championship presented by Scotiabank held in the Dominican Republic.
At the conclusion of the Tour Championship, the top 10 players on the final season-long Points List will earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for the 2027 season and receive a $15,000 (USD) Pathways Player Achievement Grant.
Points List
The PGA TOUR Americas Points List is modeled after the points systems used on the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR. Each tournament winner will earn 500 points, with a solo second-place finisher receiving 300 points. In the event of ties (excluding first place, which is resolved by a playoff), points will be evenly distributed among tied players. The season-ending PGA Oceans 4 Tour Championship presented by Scotiabank will award increased points with 600 points earned by the winner.
Eligibility
Eligible competitors include professionals and amateurs with a qualified course rating handicap index of 2.0 or lower. Players must be 18 years of age or older to obtain PGA TOUR Americas membership. Players under 18 years old may compete in PGA TOUR Americas events, however, membership eligibility begins upon their 18th birthday.
Through the first six events of the season in Latin America, tournament fields will consist of 144 players. Eligibility will include the top 100 finishers from the 2025 PGA TOUR Americas Points List, with the top 80 holding full status through the second periodic reorder. Additional eligibility categories include players who earned status through PGA TOUR Americas Q-School, Korn Ferry Tour members, medalists and ties from the First Stage of 2025 PGA TOUR Q-School, prior-event top-10 finishers, Open Qualifiers and Sponsor Exemptions.
Beginning with the seventh event of the season – the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open presented by Syndeo in Wichita, Kansas – field sizes will increase to 156 players. At that point, members of the PGA TOUR University Class of 2026 (finishers 11-25 in the PGA TOUR University Ranking) and the NCAA Division II Player of the Year will have full status for the remainder of the PGA TOUR Americas schedule.
Q-School
The 2026 PGA TOUR Americas Q-School will be played in March across five sites in the United States. Previously, Q-School bisected the season into two segments and was played in May. With Q-School being played before the season begins, PGA TOUR Americas eligibility categories and membership will apply to one continuous 15-event schedule.
Additional benefits
Each PGA TOUR Americas event features a $225,000 (USD) purse, with $40,500 (USD) awarded to the tournament winner.
Players who earn Korn Ferry Tour membership through PGA TOUR Americas (top 10 on the season-long Points List) will also gain entry into Final Stage of PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry following the season, providing an additional opportunity to earn PGA TOUR membership.
All PGA TOUR Americas members receive access to PGA TOUR Q-School. Players finishing 11-25 on the season-long Points List will earn direct entry into Second Stage, while all remaining members will be exempt into First Stage, bypassing pre-qualifying.
Three-Victory Promotion
Winning three times on PGA TOUR Americas within one season provides automatic Korn Ferry Tour membership, effective the following week. Michael Brennan is the most recent player to earn a Three-Victory Promotion, winning three of the last six events on the 2025 schedule.
With the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Finals already underway at the time of his third win on PGA TOUR Americas, Brennan was not immediately eligible to play on the Korn Ferry Tour. However, only 28 days after claiming PGA TOUR Americas Player of the Year honors, he took advantage of a sponsor exemption to win the Bank of Utah Championship on the PGA TOUR.
