Father, Dan, played collegiate baseball at Blinn College. Grandfather was a track athlete at the University of Texas.

Reached as high as No. 27 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Earned PGA TOUR Canada status by finishing 13th on the final PGA TOUR University rankings.

Was a second-team All-American on two separate lists in 2022 (Golfweek and Ping). Was a 2021 Ping All-Southeast Region selection and picked up honorable mention All-American honors in 2020.
