Son of golfer, Bill Israelson, who had an exemplary amateur career, culminating with three consecutive victories at the Minnesota State Amateur in the late 1970s. Played intermittently on the PGA TOUR in the mid-80s.
Amateur Highlights
Won The Birchmont in three different times, in 2016, 2017 and 2021 at the tournament in Bemidji, Minnesota. His sister, Emily, who played collegiately at Augustana University captured Birchmont titles alongside her brother in 2016 and 2021.
In 2019, won three times, including the Summit League Championship, in a playoff with Calvin McCoy, Cody Burrows and Esteban Missura. Added a win at the MGA Players’ Championship in June and then won the Pine to Palm Championship in August.
Was a Summit League first-team all-conference selection three times, beginning in his sophomore year.
