Earliest golf memory is watching Fred Couples play in par-3 contest at Treetops Resort in Gaylord, Michigan; the first professional shot he ever saw came off the club of Fred Couples lipping out what would have been a hole-in-one
Attended the 2021 PLAYERS Championship and saw Denny McCarthy make an ace on No. 3, also followed Justin Thomas for the entire second round

Played four seasons at Grand Valley State University (2015-19), an NCAA Division II program in Allendale, Michigan (just outside of Grand Rapids), where he garnered a 2018 All-America First Team laurel and a 2019 All-America Second Team plaudit
Named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year as both a junior and senior (2017-18, 2018-19), in addition to tying a 14-year-old school record for single-season wins with four as a junior in 2017-18, and becoming the school's first-ever All-America First Team selection in 2018
Represented the United States at the 2019 Arnold Palmer Cup and was named the Michael Carter Award winner
Won the 2018 Michigan PGA Tournament of Champions, becoming the first amateur winner in 27 years, and qualified for match play at the 2018 U.S. Amateur Championship contested at Pebble Beach (defeated in first round by William Mouw)
