In a strange coincidence, all three collegiate wins came on March 10, winning on that date, three-consecutive years in a row.
Is very grateful to his mother and father for all the sacrifices made to help him succeed in golf. Unfortunately, his mother passed away suddenly when he was 13-years-old. He dedicates all of his greatest accomplishments to his parents.
Wears very specific 'lucky' outfits.
Is an accomplished pianist.
Amateur Highlights
At the 2018 U.S. Amateur at Pebble Beach GL, won his first five matches. He defeated Caleb Ramirez, Shintaro Ban, Noah Goodwin, Davis Riley and Isaiah Salinda before losing in the 36-hole final to Viktor Hovland, 6 and 5.
Made two 2019 PGA TOUR starts by virtue of his U.S. Amateur runner-up. Finished 55th at the Masters Tournament and missed the cut at the U.S. Open.
Won the 2021 Pacific Coast Amateur, using a third-round 62 to overcome a four-shot deficit at the 36-hole mark to take a three-shot lead into the last round. Struggled on the final day, shooting a 2-over 73 at Chambers Bay in Washington. Finished regulation tied with Dylan Menante, Joe Highsmith, Sam Choi and Walker Lee, defeating the quartet in a playoff.
