Says he would much rather be in the woods hunting than playing golf.
Loves hunting and is a frequent hunting partner of Korn Ferry Tour winner Chandler Phillips, as the two were college teammates.
Family has a strong history to Texas A&M golf. Father, Randy, played for the Aggies, graduating in 1990. Also had two uncles who played for A&M.
Grandpa, Jacky Lee, was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs' 1969 Super Bowl-winning team. Was the first quarterback taken by the Houston Oilers, in 1960, and is one of 20 players to play all 10 seasons in the American Football League prior to that league's merger with the NFL.
Amateur Highlights
Won three college tournaments. His first came at the Meridoe Collegiate as a sophomore. Won the Cabo Collegiate in Mexico, shooting a course-record 64 in the final round to secure the title. Final college title came in his fifth (pandemic-related) season, at the Marquette Intercollegiate.
