Drew Doyle (Louisville, Kentucky) opened with his best score of the PGA TOUR Americas season, a 6-under 64, and leads by one after the first round of the Manitoba Open. Seven players are tied for second at 5 under entering Friday’s second round at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club.
In June, Doyle broke through with his first victory in his 15th start on PGA TOUR Americas, winning the Inter Rapidisimo Golf Championship in Bogotá, Colombia. He also has a T6 finish at the Abierto del Centro Zurich presentado por Personal in Cordoba, Argentina, and he entered the week No. 6 on the season-long points list.
With five events remaining to decide the 10 players who will earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for 2027, Doyle is looking to become the season’s first two-time winner. Also vying for a second victory is Joey Savoie (St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec), who was one of seven players to shoot 5-under 65 on Thursday. Savoie won the Kia Open de Ecuador presentado por Diners Club in May and is currently No. 7 on the points list.
Also carding a first-round 65 were Charlie Crockett (Surrey, England), who has four top 10s this season and is No. 26 on the points list, and Garrett Endicott (San Antonio, Texas), who is making his fourth start since finishing No. 23 in the PGA TOUR University Class of 2026 in June.
Spencer Ralston (Gainesville, Georgia), Austin Greaser (Vandalia, Ohio), Connor Creasy (Abingdon, Virginia) and Braxton Kuntz (Winnipeg, Manitoba) round out the seven-way tie at 5 under. Kuntz, a 22-year-old making his fourth straight start in the Manitoba Open, earned his spot in the field by carding a 5-under 67 in the monday qualifier at Glendale Golf and Country Club.
