As the winner of two of the last three tournaments on the PGA TOUR Americas schedule, Michael Brennan has built a commanding 554-point lead atop the Fortinet Cup standings. His 1,806 points come from two victories and nine top-10 finishes in 13 starts. At his current pace, which finds him leading nearly every key statistical category, he’ll be difficult to catch over the three events remaining in the season.

The 23-year-old Wake Forest alum called his second win a major confidence boost.

“Playing well just does that, whether you win or not. It’s great to get more points. That’s kind of what we’re out here playing for,” said Brennan, whose strong play dates back to last season, when he posted five top-10s in 10 starts and narrowly missed a promotion to the Korn Ferry Tour as a rookie out of the PGA TOUR University class of 2024.

Brennan’s pace this year mirrors that of Johnny Keefer, who had one win and nine top-10s in 10 starts on his way to capturing the 2024 Fortinet Cup. With 1,600 points still available for the winners of the final three events, Brennan knows the Cup isn’t a lock yet.

“(We) are just going to go to Edmonton (for the ATB Classic) and do what we’ve been doing, play solid golf, and we’ll see what happens,” he said on his prospects of a third win, which would clinch him a full Korn Ferry Tour card ahead of time via the three-win promotion.
