With a playoff win in just his fourth start on PGA TOUR Americas on Sunday at the Osprey Valley Open, Carson Bacha became the first graduate from the 2025 PGA TOUR University class to break into the top 10 of the Fortinet Cup Points List. The 23-year-old, who finished solo third three weeks ago at the Bromont Open, is now seventh in the season-long race to move up to the Korn Ferry Tour.

Playing in the last group on a Sunday for the second time in four starts, Bacha outdueled playing partner and Fortinet Cup No. 1 Davis Lamb. Holding a two-shot lead through 54 holes and eager to open a significant gap atop the standings, the consistent Lamb had a slow final day at TPC Toronto’s Heathlands Course. A tie for fifth, for his fourth top-five in his last five starts, earned Lamb 105 points to strengthen his Fortinet Cup lead from eight to 78 points over second-place holder David Perkins.

Bacha, who joined PGA TOUR Americas as No. 14 on the 2025 PGA TOUR University ranking, is now 522 points off the Tour lead.

“It's going to be tough to catch them, but I know it's doable, and that's what I'll have set for the rest of the season,” said the Auburn University alum about the battle with those ahead of him in a season that has six tournaments left to play.

Following a playoff loss with a solo third finish, another 2025 PGA TOUR University player pushing to break into the top 10 is Nathan Franks. The University of South Carolina alum, who finished 21st in the 2025 PGA TOUR University ranking, has earned 435 points over the past two weeks and now holds the 17th spot in the Fortinet Cup. Check below for the top 10 in the Fortinet Cup.

    1. Davis Lamb, United States

Fortinet Cup points: 1,212 (nine starts)
    Last week’s rank: First
Best finishes: Won the Inter Rapidisimo Golf Championship (Week 6); Runner-up at Bromont Open (Week 8); T5 at Osprey Valley Open (Week 10)

The 32-year-old from Potomac, Maryland, entered the final round at the Osprey Valley Open with a two-shot lead after three sub-66 rounds, but a Sunday 69 proved insufficient to maintain the lead. His T5 finish was his fourth top-five in his last five starts.

    2. David Perkins, United States

Fortinet Cup points: 1,134 (10 starts)
    Last week’s rank: Second
Best finishes: Won the Explore NB Open (Week 7); Runner-up at Diners Club Peru Open (Week 4)

He tied for second and projected No. 1 in the Fortinet Cup through 36 holes at the Osprey Valley Open, then slowed down with back-to-back 71s on the weekend. Although the T21 finish only earned him 35 points, he remains within striking distance of Lamb.

    3. Brett White, United States

Fortinet Cup points: 964 (nine starts)
    Last week’s rank: Third
Best finishes: Won the Commissionaires Ottawa Open (Week 9); T3 at Diners Club Peru Open (Week 4); T4 at ECP Brazil Open (Week 2)

He is coming off a thrilling come-from-behind win in Ottawa, where he fired a final-round 13-under 59 before winning a playoff, and kept a good pace with a T17 finish at TPC Toronto.

    4. Jay Card III, United States

Fortinet Cup points: 959 (10 starts)
    Last week’s rank: Seventh
Best finishes: Won the Kia Open (Week 3); P2 (playoff loss) at the Osprey Valley Open (Week 10)

After good showings in Bromont and Ottawa, everything came together for him at the Osprey Valley Open. A birdie-birdie finish for a final round low 63 got him into a playoff for the title. An approach shot that ran past the green on the second playoff hole led to a bogey that prevented him from becoming the first multiple-time winner this season.

    5. Michael Brennan, United States

Fortinet Cup points: 804 (10 starts)
    Last week’s rank: Fifth
Best finishes: T3 at the Telecom Abierto del Centro (Week 1); T3 at the Bupa Championship (Week 5); T4 at the ECP Brazil Open (Week 2)

Sparked by a birdie-birdie-birdie-eagle finish to the front nine, Brennan carded a final-round 65 to tie for 10th at the Osprey Valley Open. He leads the Tour with seven top-10 finishes and has the best scoring average (67.68) among players who started the season in Latin America.

    6. John Marshall Butler, United States

Fortinet Cup points: 756 (10 starts)
    Last week’s rank: Fourth
Best finishes: Won Bupa Championship (Week 5); T3 at the Diners Club Peru Open (Week 4)

At 7-under for the day through 11 holes and looking at a top-20 finish on Sunday, he bogeyed 14 before closing out with a double-bogey on 18. The T37 finish at the Osprey Valley Open was his best performance since his win in Mexico City.

    7. Carson Bacha, United States

Fortinet Cup points: 690 (4 starts)
    Last week’s rank: 46th
Best finishes: Won Osprey Valley Open; T3 at Bromont Open (Week 8)

The 23-year-old rookie edged out two 2025 PGA TOUR Americas winners Sunday, moving past Lamb in regulation and defeating Card in a playoff. His scoring average of 66.75 is the second best on Tour.

    8. Dillon Stewart, United States

Fortinet Cup points: 668 (4 starts)
    Last week’s rank: Sixth
Best finishes: Won the Bromont Open (Week 8); T5 at the Commissionaires Ottawa Open (Week 9)

After three consecutive top-10 finishes, including a Monday-finish win at the Bromont Open, Stewart missed his first cut of the season with rounds of 68-71. His scoring average of 66.71 remains the best on Tour.

    9. Hunter Wolcott, United States

Fortinet Cup points: 650 (9 starts)
    Last week’s rank: Eighth
Best finishes: Won Diners Club Peru Open (Week 4); T8 at Inter Rapidisimo Golf Championship (Week 6)

He opened with a 64 to sit just two shots off the lead at the Osprey Valley Open but dropped out of contention with a pair of 73s. The T59 finish earned him only five points.

    10. Ryan Grider, United States

Fortinet Cup points: 628 (10 starts)
    Last week’s rank: Ninth
Best finish: Won the Abierto Telecom del Centro (Week 1)

Grider missed the cut at TPC Toronto with rounds of 73-76 — his first missed cut since the Bupa Championship in Mexico. He remains just one point ahead of Maxwell Moldovan, who also missed the cut and fell out of the top 10 for the first time this season.

Most significant move outside the top 10:

    17. Nathan Franks, United States

Fortinet Cup points: 435 (4 starts)
    Last week’s rank: 33rd
Best finish: Third at Osprey Valley Open (Week 10); P2 (playoff loss) at the Commissionaires Ottawa Open

This 22-year-old rookie finished on the losing end of a three-way playoff the previous week in Ottawa and then kept the momentum going at the Osprey Valley Open. A final round of 8-under 63 that matched Card's low round of the day left him just one stroke short of a second straight playoff appearance. He had zero points after missing the cut in his first two starts.

Next Stop: The race for the Fortinet Cup continues this week (Aug. 7-10) with the BioSteel Championship at Ambassador Golf Club in Windsor, Ontario.
