BOGOTA, Colombia – The PGA TOUR Americas Rules Committee announced Saturday morning that the Inter Rapidisimo Golf Championship would be played as a 36-hole event. First round tee times began at 1:10 p.m. local time on Friday after play was cancelled on Thursday due to unplayable course conditions.
First-round play was scheduled to begin at 6:35 a.m. local time Thursday, but due to unplayable course conditions caused by rain in areas surrounding the golf course, the PGA TOUR Americas Rules Committee made the decision to delay the start of play until Friday afternoon. Heavy rain in Bogota leading up to the scheduled start of play caused saturation throughout the golf course, which deemed the course unplayable.
Per PGA TOUR Americas Rules and Regulations, a tournament must be contested over 36 holes at a minimum to be considered official. Second-round tee times are scheduled to begin at 12:35 p.m. local time off the Nos. 1 and 10 tees.
The Inter Rapidisimo Golf Championship is the sixth and final event in the Latin America Swing of the PGA TOUR Americas 2025 season, and players are vying for a spot in the top 60 of the Fortinet Cup to gain access to the North America Swing. J.M. Butler currently holds the No. 1 spot in the Fortinet Cup, with 735 points in five starts. Play is scheduled to begin at 6:35 a.m. local time on Friday off the Nos. 1 and 10 tees.
